Warnings not to leave Christmas shopping late
A leading freight specialist, who works with some of Australia’s biggest retailers, has spoken to Sky News warning Australians to get ahead on their Christmas shopping. Global Forwarding Director Enrica Centorame has told Weekend Edition host Tim Gilbert that deliveries of some of the most popular Christmas presents - including toys, technology, books and health & fitness equipment and cars - are experiencing major delays.
Ms Centorame says compounding international delays in the supply chain, a major cause of delays is consistent industrial relations disputes on Australia’s waterfront. Ms Centorame is calling for Australia’s domestic and international borders to be opened to help ease pressure and speed up deliveries.
