With 25 years’ experience in Transport and Logistics, Enrica established Global Forwarding in 2006 to provide a fresh innovative approach to clients and a flexible work environment to team members. Enrica personally selects the global agent network who are specialists in moving art, yachts, antiques and general cargo. Alongside her commitment to operational excellence, Enrica is a passionate and vocal advocate for small business and supplier diversity. Enrica’s commitment, as a business owner, is to take an active part in keeping Australia strong. Engaging in conscious procurement decisions that create a strong social and fiscal impact supporting SME’s as much as possible. Enrica holds qualifications in International Trade and is a NAATI level 3 accredited interpreter specialising in crisis and emergency interpreting. Enrica is a dedicated SES Volunteer and a hopeless diehard Hawks fan (AFL).
Fudge is our resident therapist and security guard. A Shar Pei who keeps the team calm in high stress moments as well as protecting us with her very loud bark, but only when necessary. Over the last few years Fudge has become an integral part of the team and understands her role well.
Gezelle has worked in transport over 20 years and has a solid understanding of all aspects relating to transport, warehousing and logistics processes. Gezelle sets high standards for herself and her team and manage files from inception of purchase orders through to delivery. The Ops Team leave no stone unturned. Gezelle’s enthusiasm and commitment for delivering excellent customer service is second to none, together with her bubbly personality.
Gezelle is highly experienced in moving oversized assets, capital equipment, pharma, complex and sensitive cargo. Gezelle runs a tight ship steering her team to excellence. Gezelle is also head of our training department and keeps on top of all shipping and airline changes.
Penny is Head of China Desk. A Shanghai native with qualifications in International Business. Penny liaises with clients, their suppliers and manufacturers in China to ensure all is perfect at Origin prior to shipping. Penny assists the Ops Team in infrastructure and building logistics, pharma, industrial and oversized commodities.
Shara has overseen the Customs Brokerage Department at Global Forwarding since 2009 and has ensured the compliance program is constantly up to date with the latest requirements and legislation for all Customs, Bio Security and Quarantine matters. Shara also ensures the brokerage team members are up to date with their professional development hours and statutory requirements.
Thomas is the youngest member in Head Office. Recently completing a Certificate 4 in Freight Forwarding 2020 with an authentic passion for Customer Service. Thomas is constantly assessing how to add value to clients and opportunities to go the extra mile. Thomas has a keen eye for photography and is a mad Chelsea FC and St Kilda (AFL) fan. He is indeed a great asset to the Ops team.
Sonia is French and a proud Australian Citizen with a passion for boats and sailing. Sonia loves the Cairns lifestyle and looks after the Marine and Spares Division from the Cairns and Brisbane Branches. Sonia is completing her Internship in Marine Logistics at Global Forwarding as well as a Certificate 4 in Freight Forwarding.
Trevor keeps the financial and compliance cogs turning at Global Forwarding and keeps a big smile on the team’s faces with his dry British humour. Trevor entertains us with his travel stories and fortunately his personality outweighs his pedantic and methodical number crunching.
Ivan is a Licensed Customs Broker who specialises in Shipping and Customs Clearing motor bikes, racing and vintage cars to and from anywhere in the world. The team are fortunate to have Ivan’s expertise in taking care of Vehicle permits and crating while effortlessly resolving queries with the Department of Transport.
